Story: Growth is an important part of life. Like the seasons, we are constantly moving, adapting and becoming something new. The butterflies symbolise transformation, the courage to leave behind what we once knew and emerge into something different. They are also a symbol of lost loved ones. It is said that they carry messages to us when we need it most.
The fairy wrens are a symbol of strength and courage. The Aboriginal symbols for people around the centre are a representation that everyone is on their own journey. No two paths are the same, and growth looks different for all of us. The bright colours throughout the artwork represent the experiences, emotions and moments that shape us along the way. We cannot go backwards. We can look back, remember where we came from and carry those lessons with us, but nevertheless, the path continues forward.
Growth is not about becoming someone else. It is about becoming more of our true selves, embracing change, finding strength in the unknown and continuing to move forward"
