Meet Toneya
Toneya Kennedy is a proud Barkindji artist based in Victoria, originally from Wilcannia. Her work is deeply rooted in culture, memory, and emotion, drawing on traditional teachings passed down by her father, respected artist Gregory Kennedy. Working across a variety of mediums including painting, drawing, ceramics, digital design, and large-scale public art, Toneya’s creative style is often described as calm yet chaotic, a raw expression of feeling, storytelling, and connection to Country. Through her art, she shares both personal and cultural narratives with honesty and strength.
